Resolved Question: Where can I find refurbished LCD televisions?

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

In the near future my wife & I will be looking for a 60″ flat-panel LCD (NOT plasma!) television. The least expensive one that Best Buy carries is $5000. Maybe there are cheaper ones around but I couldn’t find any. I am very interested in refurbished units. I mean, they come with the same guarentees & warrantees as new ones from the store but they’re alot cheaper. My question is, are there any websites that specialize in refurbished LCD televisions? Maybe I have to go to every manufacturers website 1 by 1 looking for refurbished units? When I say “cheap”, I mean inexpensive-I don’t want a piece of crap. The unit has to be 1080p and have a good contrast ratio. Any help would be wonderful. Thanx!

Resolved Question: What LCD TV should I buy and where should I buy it?

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

I’m looking for either a 32″ or a 37″ Flat LCD TV and I’m leaning toward the bigger. I want a good, but very affordable tv that will give me High Definition, great picture quality, lots of hookups, and the ability to connect it to my computer. Specifically what are some good tvs? Where are some good places to buy them? and What about refurbished tvs? Is it too much of a risk.

Here are a couple I’m considering so you can give me some feedback as to what I like

Vizio-Also the 32″ version.

Like I said before the 37″ size is more attractive but in all but maybe vizio, the refurbished Toshiba and some other brands like Olevia and Westinghouse it’s going to take me well out of the $700 range and I still would be happy with a 32″
