Resolved Question: Where can I buy a replacement LCD for my laptop? (Dell Inspiron 710m)
Monday, September 29th, 2008I have an Inspiron 710m laptop with a cracked LCD screen. To buy a new laptop it would cost me more than 700 dollars. Does anybody know where I can find a replacement screen, either new, used, or refurbished, for a reasonable price? I am in the Philadelphia area.
What I meant originally is that from Dell such a screen would cost $700, I’d like to find it elsewhere for cheaper, maybe $150-300.

Resolved Question: Which cord do I need to connect computer to television?
Monday, September 29th, 2008I have a Toshiba LCD and it has a function where I click input and it goes to PC mode. I was wondering how I could use that and which cord I would need. The TV I have is this one:

I have a Sony Laptop that i’d like to connect it to. I think it’s the CR one. If it’s not possible to connect it to that, I have a desktop, but it’s around 5-6years old.
I was wondering what I would need to buy to connect my computer to my TV. Thanks

Resolved Question: LCD Display problem?
Monday, September 29th, 2008I recently purchased a monitor from ebay (refurbished, so that shouldn’t be a problem, but it might).
So I hooked it all up today, and it came on
properly. For about a second.
Then it went black, but the monitor said it was displaying what is being sent to it, and that it’s not asleep.
I also noticed later that when turning the monitor on and when it goes black, it makes an odd popping noise. I’m wondering if a circuit is being over loaded somehow.
I’m pretty sure everything is hooked up correctly. I even used the cables from my other monitor that was working, and my new monitor still didn’t work.
I’ll probably end up talking to the seller and sending it back, but first I wanted to see if anybody else has had this problem.
Sorry, I didn’t explain that well.
The monitor has an led lit power button that shows the monitor’s status through the led’s color. Blue=displaying, yellow=asleep, and it stays blue.
