Now I have 60 GB model in my room (play games & watch Blu-ray movies), but now my Bro wants to get his very own 40GB PS3 model for his room. Each of us bought are own HDTV LCD 40inch Samsung, but now my Bro wants to play his own PS3 games & Blu-ray movies for his room. Now, can the PS3 40GB play PS2 game titles, I went to the PLAYSTATIONSTORE and saw the PS2 System Data (For Playstation 2 HDD titles). It say, ” PS2 System Data allows Playstation 2 format software requiring hard disk installation to be played on the Playstation 3 system.” its was released on 12/15/2006. Now, I didnt have to download it, because I could already play all my PS1 & 2 titles on my PS3, but has anybody downloaded it (Who has a 40GB model)? If my Bro download this, would he be able to play PS2 titles on the 40GB model?

I have a Panasonic Old TV in my living room 27″inch and it’s a great TV. I was thinking of buying a 32″ Plasma or LCD, depending on how the lighting is in my bedroom. What TV should I buy and what brand did you choose and what things did you look for in buying a TV? Should I buy a TV now was thinking of buying a Samsung LCD TV $700 with 8,000 Contrast ratio. Or should I wait until 2009 for better deals? Are they easy to install myself or should I have a package deal for $1,600 with a PS3 plus installation?

First, I put in the new video card and the computer booted fine, I can see the boot screen and then into windows. During the installation of the driver, around 50% or so, the screen goes completely blank (no signal to the LCD). I waited a few minutes, nothing happened, so I restarted the computer. I hear the computer boot fine but still only a blank screen. I took out the 7600GS and put in my old 4400Ti and the LCD was fine, it displayed everything from the boot screen into windows. I uninstalled the drivers and put back the 7600GS to try again, still only getting a blank screen with no signal. However, I connected the S-video cable to the 7600GS and output to a TV and everything was fine. But when I connect it to the LCD thru the analog connector, there was no signal to the LCD, only a blank screen.
I have a P4 2.4Ghz, Asus P4PE mobo, 1.5G ram, 420W powersupply. I think the powersupply is fine because the video card works when connected thru the S-video cable.
What to do?
It’s an Acer AL1916 LCD monitor and I don’t have any other monitors to test it.
After the screen went blank, I can’t see anything so I went back to the old card and uninstalled the drivers. Then turned off the computer and put in the new video card. But the LCD haven’t gotten any signal from the new card. I think the screen went blank when it was about to change resolution, I remembered hearing a ding sound (same sound when you put in and remove a usb thumb drive) and the screen went blank. But there’s no problem with the S-video output though. could it be that both the VGA and DVI broke and the S-video still work? I tried the DVI to VGA converter with no success.
Yes, it’s AGP. It says so on the box, and my 4 year old computer only have an AGP slot.

I am about to purchase a LCD 1080p television & a 800 watt Pionneer hometheater system /HD-DVD. Will I need to purchase cables to connect them to my digital converter box & to connect the speakers? If so, what would you recommend?

I do hope someone here can help me.
I just won a 40″ LCD HD TV with a Home Theatre system. Of course, by winning it, I have no warranty or installation available. I must have dome something wrong and every installation guide I can find Hasn’t helped me.
I have amazing sound and picture when I play a DVD. I can download a tv show, burn on a DVD and play with wonderful results. But, to watch the tv show live, it’s hohum. The same as if there was no sound at all. My cable hooks into a digital black cable box. I have a VCR as well. The cable box and vcr is joined to the theatre system with those red/white cables or red/yellow/white cables. I have HDMI cable connecting the theatre to the TV.
What am I doing wrong?

I brought a LCD TV/DVD combo (Toshiba) about two months ago, and it’s been working great until TODAY. I played a DVD and wanted to switch it out for another one. When I hit the eject button nothing happened, you can hear it trying to work but nothing, it just continues to start the movie over again. Is there something can do to fix the problem? There is not really a place to take it to get fixed since I’m on a military installation, and sending it to the manufacture (States) will cost me an arm and a leg. Help!
The DVD slot is located on the side of the tv.

My PC Configuration is :
>Intel P4 HT 3ghz
>2 GB DDR1 RAM
>ATI Radeon X200 Graphics card
>Samsung Syncmaster 740N LCD Monitor
My problem is that I recently installed openSUSE 10.3 linux with WinXP home.
Everything went smoothly but when I booted for the first time my monitor went blank and its power indicater started blinking.
Another thing , in opensuse’s boot installation menu, i had to choose resolution as 800X600 as my monitor showed improper resolution on using default settings.
Same problem occured when I tried ubuntu 7.10.
Kindly Help in configuring my system.
I can see the GRUB menu, and can also chose between WinXP and OpenSuSE. WinXP runs fine, but when I chose OpenSuSE, the monitor goes blank and the power indicator start blinking….
I had installed OpenSuSE from a DVD, I dont know how to install ATi Drivers…..
Please help….
I havnt tried booting into Safe Mode.
I have installed it using an Original DVD, not torrent.

After booting into opensuse failsafe option, i can work in command mode but when i try to switch to level 5 using init 5 again my monitor goes blank and power indiactor starts blinking

I am building an installation made up of 100 lcd panels, and am trying to figure out how to choose lcd parts. The lcds will display still images and slide shows (no video) fed from s/d cards.
What companies make the best lcd panels - crisp image, accurate color? I’m talking components here - plain lcd screens not build into a tv/monitor or other device?
What other factors contribute to image quality? For example, will a Sharp model LQ080V3DG01 always look the same, regardless of what it is built into or do design/engineering configurations affect image quality / performance?
Any other advice on how to build this (I’m an artist, not an engineer)?
I’ve taken apart an Audiovox flat panel tv/dvd with card reader, taken out the dvd player and other parts I don’t need, and it is working, but I’d like to improve image quality. Is it the way audiovox built the thing that makes the picture look fuzzy/color cast, or is it just the quality of the Sharp lcd panel?
